The world is literally on fire now. On 1 side, there are man-made disasters (like the various conflicts ongoing currently in very different parts of the world) and on the other side, there are natural calamities like that which has struck Afghanistan just yesterday. Apparently, the ring of fire is getting active too, meaning we're going to see more volcanic eruptions around the Pacific Ocean.
Going by the looks of it, the earthquake that struck Russia (/Japan thereafter, as a matter of fact), is not going to be an isolated incident. If anything, it is a precursor of (worser) things to come in the not-so-distant future. But the bigger question is, are we ready to face it? Can the damage be minimized? These might seem like hypothesizing, but even if it is, this is the time to do so. After all, once nature unleashes its fury, we will have nowhere to hide. Planning up on this could be a good starting point.
